Fight At VFW Hall --Very Few Winners

Botched Mayoral Debate Ends in Bizarre Fight at VFW. Time for Oak Lawn to wake up, Oak Lawn Dist. 6 candidate Joe Sorrentno says.

By JOSPEH SORRENTINO Sadly Oak Lawn, we are the real losers here.  Something happened in Oak Lawn the other day. It was an event that underscores exactly what Oak Lawn has a reputation for both within and outside the village. It was an example of bizarre and ridiculous theatrics. It highlighted the fact that the two existing political parties cannot coordinate anything effectively between them; even when they both adamantly claim it is absolutely in the best interest of Oak Lawn to successfully agree on any particular issue. It ended as an all-time herculean fail, with mayoral candidates yelling embarrassing remarks and swearing.  Question: What was the event?  Answer:  A typical Oak Lawn Village board meeting And you probably thought it …
