What Should Go Here? Empty Storefronts in the Metra Retail Center

It’s time to play “what should go here,” the game that lets readers dream big about the kind of businesses and development they’d like to see in Oak Lawn.

Two prime storefronts are available for leasing in the Metra Retail Center at 5102-5116 Museum Drive, located just steps away from the Oak Lawn Metra Station, which sees about 1,000 commuters. Both store fronts get major exposure from visitors to the adjacent Children’s Museum of Oak Lawn and the stunning 9/11 First Responders’ sculpture incorporating beams from the fallen World Trade Center. There is truly potential for further developing the transit retail center into a destination point. The available spaces are 1,110 square feet and 1,500 square feet. Indeed, me too, I wonder if the rent is just not worth it for "prime" storefront property that realy isn't so prime.   more ›
