Demolition started earlier this month on the shopping center at 111th Street and Cicero Avenue in Oak Lawn that was the subject of a lengthy court battle between the village and Sears Holding Co. Greenwood The wrecking ball is in the process of knocking down the shopping center and some buildings on Cicero Avenue including the former Harley-Davidson store to make way for redevelopment. Itasca-based Hamilton Partners is the company charged by the village with redeveloping the site once it has been cleared. Oak Lawn purchased the 29-acre parcel from J.C.
