Pedestrian Hit by Truck At Southwest Highway and Cicero Avenue

A female pedestrian was struck by a truck Thursday morning crossing the intersection of 93rd Street/Southwest Highway and Cicero Avenue. Road will be closed for several more hours.

11:09 a.m. Press release from Oak Lawn Police. "On 05-24-12 at approximately 8:13 am Oak Lawn police and Fire units were dispatched to a pick-up truck vs pedestrian crash at Southwest highway and Cicero ave. Oak Lawn Illinois. Responding units found a severely injured pedestrian lying on Cicero ave. The driver of the pick-up truck was on the scene. The pedestrian was taken to Advocate Christ hospital with serious injuries. The information available at this time indicates the pedestrian was walking across Southwest Highway from the north to the south on the west side of Cicero ave.
