POLICE BLOTTER: Political Yard Signs Stolen, Road Rage, Man Punches Cars

Oak Lawn police reports, February 15 through February 25.

MONDAY FEBURARY 25 A village board candidate reported that two of her campaign signs were stolen from residential yards in the 9500 block of South Tripp Avenue. The signs were reported stolen  FRIDAY FEBRUARY 22 George Kuzur, 36, of the 7700 block of South Merrrimac Avenue in Burbank, was charged with disorderly conduct after being accused by another driver of waving a “large knife” during a road rage altercation, police said. The other driver said he was cut off by a white cargo van coming out of a shopping center lot in the 5100 block of West 95th Street, reports said. Police said the other driver admitted to honking his horn and flipping his middle finger at Kuzar. Following the gesture, Kuzur allegedly waved a large knife and was seen …

POLICE BLOTTER: Identity Theft, Ringin' and Yellin', Road Rage

Oak Lawn police reports, Aug. 19 through Aug. 25.

SATURDAY, August 25 A 28-year-old Burbank woman was charged with disorderly conduct after her ex-boyfriend said she allegedly came to his house twice in the middle of the night and woke up the entire household, police said. The 31-year-old boyfriend said that the woman, identified as Francesca Lungaro rang the doorbell non-stop, yelling and screaming that he come outside, the report alleged at 2 a.m. August 25. She had also been by an hour before, police said. Police said that Lungaro went to the man’s house on the 5100 block of Oak Center Drive and wanted to talk to him about a rumor concerning a new girlfriend when her text messages were not answered in a timely manner…

POLICE BLOTTER: Un-Chummy Hummer, Another Pizza Caper, Drinking in the Food Court

Oak Lawn police reports, Nov. 18 through Nov. 20.

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 20 A 50-year-old man claims that another man driving a Hummer followed him down Harlem Avenue in a case of road rage around 5:49 p.m. The 50-year-old told police he was driving along when the driver behind him began flashing his lights. The Hummer continued following him down and turned down 93rd Street from Harlem. The man says the other driver threw an unknown object at his car, hitting the rear window. Police said the 50-year-old got out of his car and began arguing with the other driver, who had also exited his car. The man claimed that the driver of the Hummer yelled at him claiming that he had cut him off. Police said the other driver told the man he was in trouble because his dad was a cop. Gee, I wonder which apartment complex this happened at??? Hmmmm, do you think it could have been an SKS Property building???? Well 93rd & Harlem, the former Colonial Court complex that SKS bought from the former caring owners about 5 years ago. Probably! Problems over there are nothing new. No Charges in Road Rage Incident After Man Smacks His Head on Pavement

Confrontation ends in fist fight on Cicero Avenue in Oak Lawn, police say.

Police determined that a 50-year-old man left bloody and battered was the aggressor in a road rage incident that happened near Cicero Avenue and 103rd Street in Oak Lawn. The altercation began near a sporting goods store on the 9600 block of South Cicero Avenue around 7 p.m. Aug. 3. The man told police he got angry after he was cut off by another driver—a 34-year-old man—and then drove after him down Cicero, the police report said. The 50-year-old man got the younger driver’s attention as they drove side by side on Cicero. Police said the man admitted to calling the younger man, who is black, derogatory names. It seems to me it would of been faster to be a gentleman and let the other guy cut in front of him, at least faster then an altercation in the middle of the street. One day you will call someone a name and they will pull out a gun and blow you away . Much better to just ignore others.   more ›
