Spring Into Summer Wraps Up Sunday

Bus of Fun, cake eating contest, live music and Father’s Day raffle winners on tap for last day of Oak Lawn Chamber's Spring Into Summer Festival.

Sunday is the last day to enjoy the Oak Lawn Chamber’s Spring Into Summer festival celebrating local businesses. Part of the proceeds will benefit the Children’s Museum’s “We the People” exhibit and the 9/11 First Responders Monument. Lot’s of children’s activities are on tap for the afternoon, as well as a cake-eating contest, Father’s Day raffle, and the Fort Awesome band. The day is sponsored in part by Eva’s Bridals of Oak Lawn. Spring Into Summer fest is located behind the Children’s Museum in Oak Lawn at 5100 Museum Drive, by the Oak Lawn Metra Station. The block-long fest runs to Tulley Avenue. To plan your day of fun, see the schedule below:

Spring Into Summer Underway: Pet Parade, Kids' Activities on Deck for Saturday

The Oak Lawn Chamber's Spring Into Summer fest opens its second day with the Pet Parade, Vendor Fair, Windy City Sounds and LOTS of children's activities on Saturday (June 16).

The Oak Lawn Chamber of Commerce’s three-day ‘Spring Into Summer’ fest promoting local businesses opened Friday evening with a new car show featuring local dealerships and party on top of the Oak Lawn Metra Parking Garage. The car show runs through Sunday. Free parking available for Spring Into Summer in Metra Parking Garage. Some of the proceeds from the event will go toward the Children Museum in Oak Lawn’s “We the People Exhibit” and final touches on the 9/11 First Responder Monument. Lots of children’s activities are planned during the day on Saturday including the Pet Parade, Vendor Fair and live music by Windy City Sounds. Oak Lawn Pet Parade Steps Off Saturday

Part of the Oak Lawn Chamber's three-day 'Spring Into Summer' event, the annual village pet parade steps off at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 16.

Everyone marches, nobody watches when the Oak Lawn Pet Parade marches from Oak Lawn-Hometown Middle School to the Children's Museum on Museum Drive this Saturday. See last year's gallery of the Oak Lawn Pet Parade. The annual pet parade is part of the Oak Lawn Chamber's three-day 'Spring Into Summer' event that steps off at 10 a.m. Saturday. Owners and their pets must show up no later than 9:30 a.m. at the staging area at Oak Lawn-Hometown Middle School at 54th Avenue and 99th Street. This year's parade route has changed. Pets will march east on 99th Street to Tully Avenue, north on Tully to Museum Drive, the site of Spring Into Summer. 'Spring Into Summer' With the Oak Lawn Chamber

Oak Lawn Chamber's sixth annual Spring Into Summer event gets underway this weekend, June 15 through June 17.

Technically it’s still spring, which means its time to "Spring Into Summer" with the Oak Lawn Chamber of Commerce. The Oak Lawn Chamber will celebrate the approach of summer with pets and all things Oak Lawn June 15, June 16 and June 17. Proceeds from this year’s event will go toward The Children’s Museum in Oak Lawn’s “We the People” exhibit and putting the finishing touches on the 9/11 First Responders Memorial at the Oak Lawn-Patriot Metra Station. The sixth annual Spring Into Summer fest features the traditional Pet Parade, Car Show, vendor fair, bands, food, loads of children’s activities and beverages of all types.
