More Charges for Armed Robbery Suspect in Oak Lawn Standoff, Cops Say

Reginald Taylor, 47, faces additional charges for his role in the armed robbery of a Palos Heights Radio Shack store following Wednesday's standoff with Oak Lawn police, authorities said. More charges may be forthcoming from a Frankfort armed robbery.

A Chicago man charged in a standoff with Oak Lawn police is now accused of robbing the Palos Heights Radio Shack at gunpoint. Armed robbery charges were brought against Reginald Taylor, 47, of the 7100 block of South Harvard, in Chicago. Palos Heights police said Taylor drew a gun on employees on Nov. 7 inside the Harlem Avenue Radio Shack store. The Cook County States Attorney’s Office approved the charge on Friday. Two Radio Shack employees who were in the store when it was robbed picked Taylor out of a police lineup at the Oak Lawn police station on Thursday, police authorities said Taylor waited for customers to leave the Palos Heights store before locking the store's front door, police said. Radio Shack Robbery Suspect Charged in Oak Lawn Standoff

Witnesses identify suspect from Frankfort and Palos Heights store robberies in police lineup at Oak Lawn police station where suspect was nabbed Wednesday after standoff, cops say.

A man suspected in several Southland Radio Shack armed robberies and who allegedly held Oak Lawn police at a bay with a gun was charged on Thursday with one count of a felon in possession of a firearm. Reginald Taylor, 47, of Chicago, is accused of barricading himself in residential stairwell armed with a loaded 9mm semi-automatic handgun and threatening police. Oak Lawn police said that Taylor hid there after fleeing officers when an employee of the Radio Shack store in at 4819 W. 95th St. called to report a suspicious person. POLICE: Gunman Surrenders Peacefully After Standoff

A man suspected of robbing a Palos Heights Radio Shack store was taken into custody on Wednesday after he held officers at bay in Oak Lawn, police said.

An armed man who is suspected of holding up Palos Heights electronics store gave himself up peacefully to police after an hour-long standoff in Oak Lawn, cops said. The drama unfolded in Oak Lawn at approximately 3 p.m. Wednesday when dozens of cops and other law enforcement agencies swarmed a quiet neighborhood near 96th Street and LaCross Avenue, looking for a male black in his forties wearing a gray hoodie. Division Chief Michael Kaufmann, of the Oak Lawn Police Department, said in recent weeks that a string of Radio Shack stores were robbed in the south suburbs. Police: Search for Bank Robbery Suspect Ends in Air Duct

Oak Lawn Police confirm that bank robbery suspect is in custody after 11-hour standoff.

OUTSIDE CHICAGO, IL -- Police SWAT teams nabbed a man suspected of robbing an Oak Lawn bank on Saturday afternoon after an 11-hour standoff.
