BLOTTER: Sex Offender Nabbed on Warrant, Dunkin’ in the Tip Jar

Oak Lawn police reports April 16-19.

FRIDAY APRIL 19 A Hometown cop detained a man wanted on a sex offense at the 7-Eleven at 4501 W. 95th St. around 6:28 p.m. for Oak Lawn police. A name check indicated that Leron Hampton, 38, was wanted on a no-bond warrant, police said. Hampton was taken to the Oak Lawn police station where he was being held for Cook County Sheriff’s Police. TUESDAY APRIL 16 A fast-food employee was charged with theft after police said he stole tip money from the Dunkin’ Donuts at 10301 S. Central Ave. The manager provided surveillance video taken between April 8 and April 16 showing Antonio Heffner, 30, of South Holland, using sleight of hand to pocket cash while working the drive-through window, reports said. Police: New Lenox Woman Runs Over OL Cop Fleeing Coke Arrest

Woman refused to unlock her doors, ran over cop and got away during drug arrest, police said.

An arrest warrant was obtained for a former resident that eluded arrest during a pre-arranged cocaine sting, reports said. Oak Lawn police learned from a “confidential source” that Brittany Alyssa Rotto, 23, of the 700 block of Schoolgate Road, in New Lenox, had allegedly called to ask if he wanted to purchase two eight-balls of cocaine. BLOTTER: Wallet Stolen During Sex, Warrant Arrest

Oak Lawn police reports from March 5, 2013.

TUESDAY MARCH 5 A 32-year-old man reported his wallet stolen by a woman that he met at Lucky’s Bar on 95th Street in Chicago Ridge. The man and woman left the bar to go back to his apartment in the 6300 block of West 99th Place around 10:26 p.m. While there, the woman performed a sex act on the man the left. Soon after, the man noticed that his wallet was missing, along with his Capital One card. The man contacted the credit card company and informed that the his card had already been used to make a $1 purchases at Speedway and Citgo, Western Union, and $104 purchases at two Chicago Walgreens stores. The man told police he called the woman, who admitted to taking the wallet and throwing it in the garbage. An Oak Lawn police officer spotted…

POLICE BLOTTER: Stay Out of Home Depot, Consensual Conversation

Oak Lawn police reports Jan. 10 through Jan. 15.

TUESDAY, JANUARY 15 An Oak Lawn police officer recognized a man who was charged with retail theft last September pull up to the Home Depot at 4060 W. 95th St. around 10:51 a.m. A passenger got out of a blue Nissan and walked to the front entrance of the store, while four occupants remained inside the motor running, reports said. The officer was able to identify the driver of Maurice Walker, 51, of Harvey, as the person allegedly involved in a Home Depot retail theft from last September. At the time of his arrest Walker was warned not to return to the store or he would be arrested for criminal trespassing. Walker was taken into police custody and charged with criminal trespassing. Fugitive Deemed 'Armed and Dangerous' Picked Up on Warrant, Cops Say

Police arrest 36-year-old man wanted out of Rockford for felony heroin delivery in Oak Lawn, reports say.

An alleged Rockford drug dealer deemed armed and dangerous was arrested in Oak Lawn after a license plate check revealed he was wanted on an outstanding warrant, reports said. Oak Lawn police were conducting a premise check at the Midway Inn around 9:04 a.m. Nov. 28, when the officer noticed an unoccupied 2004 Dodge Durango with the engine running in the parking lot. The officer spoke to an employee who said the car belonged to a guest at the motel. An ID left at the front desk identified the guest as Frederick McDonald, 36, of Rockford. POLICE BLOTTER: Clean Cut Hooligans Smash Windshield and MORE

Oak Lawn police reports, Oct. 25 through Oct. 28.

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 28 A woman claims she was stopped at a traffic light at Central Avenue and 95th Street around 3:23 a.m. when a Pontiac Grand Am stopped in the lane next to her. Police said three male blacks in dark hoodies got out of the car and whacked her rear windshield with an unknown object. The windshield shattered and the alleged offenders got back into the Pontiac and drove northbound on Central Avenue. The woman said she last saw the car at Major Avenue and 88th Street. Oak Lawn and Burbank police were not able to locate the car. The car is registered to an address in Alsip. Alsip police checked the address but didn’t find the car. THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 20 A bridal consultant at Eva’s Bridals, 5269 W. 95th St., said that she terminated an employee the day before. She requested that the former employee return her store keys on Tuesday but never did. Police spoke to the former employee who said she was out of town, but would return the keys on Friday. The consultant wanted it reported as a matter of record. WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 19 A 53-year-old woman believed a package delivered to her apartment on the 6100 block of West 97th Street was stolen. According to the report, she spoke to the U.S. Post Office branch, which verified that the package was delivered to her house at 4 p.m. and left with a neighbor because the package did not fit in the apartment unit’s mailbox. Christ Hospital Patient Picked Up on Murder Warrant

Oak Lawn Police serve warrant on Indiana man wanted for murder.

Oak Lawn Police received information that an individual being treated at Advocate Christ Medical Center had a warrant from Lake County, Ind., for murder, reports said. Subscribe to the Oak Lawn Patch newsletter and breaking news alerts. Police went to the hospital at 3:18 p.m. Aug. 10, where they encountered Rafael Peluyera, Jr., 21, of Lake Station, Ind. Police confirmed that it was the suspect being treated in the room. A computer check of his name and birthdate reaveled that he had an outstanding warrant for murder. POLICE BLOTTER: Mom of Sick Child Picked Up on Warrant, Soliciting Rides on Roadway

Oak Lawn police reports, June 17 through June 19.

TUESDAY, JUNE 19 A mother who filled fraudulent prescriptions for her sick child, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for driving on a suspended license, reports said. Oak Lawn Police reported to Hope Children’s Hospital at 4440 W. 95th St. on a deceptive practice call around 9:40 a.m. The doctor told police that the child’s mother, Cynthia Aburish, 43, of Chicago, allegedly impersonated a nurse and ordered two prescriptions for her child at the Walgreen’s pharmacy in Worth. Police said that Aburish used the doctor’s name to fill the prescriptions. The doctor was advised that because no crime was committed in Oak Lawn, police logged Aburish’s information for Worth Police, reports said. According to police, Aburish admitted to filling …

POLICE BLOTTER: 'Disorder In the House,' Park Livin'

SUNDAY APRIL 15 Police went to George’s Lounge at 5407 W. 95th St. shortly after midnight after a neighbor complained about noise coming from the tavern. The officer stood outside but didn’t hear any noise, so he left. After leaving, the neighbor who called 911 asked for the police to come back. The neighbor told police he had problems with the bass level coming from the bar. While standing in front of neighbor’s home, the officer said he could hear the bass from the bar. The owner, John Cerniuk, was issued a village citation for keeping a disorderly house. Cerniuk was not on the premises to the officer gave the citation to a bartender.
