Man’s Ear Bitten Off in Domestic Dispute, Cops Say

Cops say Justice man leaned in and bit off piece of victim's ear in domestic dispute.

A 28-year-old Justice man bit a piece of another man’s ear off during a domestic dispute, authorities said. Richard Vody of the 7800 block of Garden Lane, was charged with home invasion, aggravated battery and domestic battery. Vody is currently out of jail on a $250,000 bond. Cook County Sheriff’s Police received a call about 8:45 a.m. Friday for a domestic battery in the 200 block of Walnut in unincorporated Justice. Officers said that Vody was found at the scene, along with the 26-year-old victim from Westchester, and the victim’s girlfriend, who lived at the residence. Authorities said all three knew each other. Vody forced his way into the residence. After arguing with the victim, Vody leaned into the victim and bit off about half of …

Police: New Lenox Woman Runs Over OL Cop Fleeing Coke Arrest

Woman refused to unlock her doors, ran over cop and got away during drug arrest, police said.

An arrest warrant was obtained for a former resident that eluded arrest during a pre-arranged cocaine sting, reports said. Oak Lawn police learned from a “confidential source” that Brittany Alyssa Rotto, 23, of the 700 block of Schoolgate Road, in New Lenox, had allegedly called to ask if he wanted to purchase two eight-balls of cocaine. Felony Charges for Chicago Woman Who Shoved Senior Into Window

Domestic disturbance leads to felony charges for 24-year-old woman who said she felt threatened; woman's mother also picked up on outstanding warrant, police say.

A 24-year-old woman was charged with aggravated battery of a senior citizen and her 43-year-old mom arrested on an outstanding warrant following a domestic disturbance, reports said. Double-Stabbing Suspect Arrested in Michigan, Cops Say

A Chicago Ridge man accused of stabbing his brothers-in-law outside of the Christ Hospital emergency department was arrested in Michigan after a day on the lam, police said. Watch the video of police processing the scene.

The man wanted in a double-stabbing outside the Advocate Christ Medical Center emergency department was arrested in Dearborn, Mich. on Sunday evening, Oak Lawn Police said. Kamal Yasin, 32, is accused of stabbing both of his brother-in-laws in a parking lot near the hospital emergency department entrance at 94th Street and Kilbourn Avenue. POLICE BLOTTER: Man Chases Intruder Off with Brick and MORE

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 27 A 29-year-old man told police he clubbed a would-be intruder with a landscaping brick and chased the intruder off his property around 3:42 a.m. Police responded to a battery in progress on the 10800 block of South Lockwood Avenue. Woman Pummels Elderly Neighbor With Wet Laundry, Cops Say

Police said woman got upset because neighbor "started doing laundry too early in the morning."

A squabble in a laundry room led to felony charges filed against a woman accused of grabbing and throwing wet laundry at her 88-year-old neighbor. Former Village of Oak Lawn public works employee Michael T. Kelly, 55, pleads guilty to aggravated battery in the August 2011 attack on a 14-year-old girl, and is sentenced to two years’ probation and anger management classes.

Kelly, 55, who was accused of choking and beating a 14-year-old girl last summer, to two years probation and anger management classes after Kelly pleaded guilty to aggravated battery on Thursday. Woman charged with felony aggravated battery after she spits at cop; police forced to get out spit hood, reports say.

A woman picked up on an outstanding warrant from Advocate Christ Medical Center was charged with aggravated battery against an Oak Lawn police officer on June 17. Tiffany Nicole Miller, 20, of the 7000 block of West 87th St. was held at the hospital for police when it was discovered that there was a warrant out for her arrest, reports said. Man Accused of Attacking Child Is A Former Village Employee

Michael T. Kelly, charged with aggravated battery after police said he attacked a 14-year-old girl, worked for the Village of Oak Lawn for over 30 years.

The man accused of attacking a child last month is a retired employee of the Village of Oak Lawn. Michael T. Kelly, 54, was charged with two felony counts of aggravated battery after police said he rammed his bike into a 14-year-old girl, then choked and pummeled her until other nearby adults ran to her rescue on Aug. 29. Oak Lawn police reports reported the girl’s age as 12, but Cook County court records indicate the girl is 14. Kelly worked for the village for over 30 years until he retired five or six years ago. Residents Rescue 12-Year-Old Girl Being Choked and Beaten By Man

Bike-riding Oak Lawn man, 54, is charged with two felony counts of aggravated battery after knocking girl off her bike and attacking her, police say.

Citizens came to the aid of a 12-year-old girl who witnesses said was attacked, punched and choked near the corner of 93rd Street and 69th Avenue in Oak Lawn on Aug. 29, according to a police report. Michael T. Kelly, 54, of the 9400 block of South Nordica Avenue, was charged with two felony counts of aggravated battery. Oak Lawn police said Kelly intentionally crashed his bike into the 12-year-old girl, then punched and choked her.
