Oak Lawn's Fall On the Green was almost perfect, but there is room for improvement next year. For example, designate adult time in the bouncy house.
Oak Lawn Village Board members were full of praise for village employees on another successful Fall On the Green – and rightfully so. There was plenty of fun for everyone ages 0 to 110. That being said, we think there is room for improvement and suggest the following enhancements for next year: Congratulations to the Village of Oak Lawn for another highly successful Fall On the Green. Sunday is your last chance to go to Fall on the Green. Patch has you covered on what is happening when.
I only felt like falling down a little last night at Fall On the Green, where I imbibed in two South Side delicacies: a blooming onion and toasted raviolli. It was the best meal I've had in over a month. It seemed as if all of Oak Lawn was on the green last night for Day 2 of Oak Lawn's end of summer festival. I received one complaint of gnats from a reader who told me she was leaving the fest because she was being attacked by them. When I went to the fest last night, it was gnat free. Today (Sunday) is the last day of Fall On the Green which runs from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Stop by the Oak Lawn Metra Station at 10 a.m. for the dedication ceremony of the 9/11 First Responders Monument, incorporating beams from the destroyed World Trade Center. …
