Big box stores have Black Friday. Online retailers have Cyber Monday. Now small businesses are getting in on the action with a day of their own:  Small Business Saturday, the Saturday after Thanksgiving (Nov. 27 this year). The new American Express initiative encourages shoppers to spend some of their holiday dollars at home—in small, local stores.
