Hooters Diner Dust Up Leads to Assault and Battery Charges

Parolee and pal mix it up with off-duty Oak Lawn detective and Cook County Corrections officer, police say.

An altercation with an off-duty Oak Lawn police detective moonlighting as a security guard led to assault and battery charges for a parolee and his pal. A server believing that a party of seven was about to dine and dash alerted the detective that several of the diners went to the bathroom and had not returned, reports said. The Oak Lawn detective positioned himself by the restaurant’s front door and observed one of the diners, later identified as Gregory Blalock, 19, of Chicago, allegedly engage in a verbal altercation with the server. You have to wonder what kind of public places { restaurants, super markets, etc.} will be placed on the empty land on 111th and Cicero ? I see more of the same type of issues like we have with Hooters as we attract undesireables from the city. Not looking forward to that happenning at all.   more ›
