From history and politics to film and restaurants, exploring the Chicagoland area is one of my passions.  I recently took up racquetball and play several times a week, although the number of broken racquetballs in the past week remains unusually high.  When I'm not the roving reporter or witty writer, I spend my weekends reenacting various historical time periods and cooking for my grateful family and girlfriend.
