Colleen Sylvester, Neighbor

Born a McCalip in Evergreen Park and raised in Bridgeview; I lived there until I was 21 years old, then moved to Chicago near Midway Airport. At 24 I was swept off my feet by my husband(Adam) and I moved to Dayton, Ohio where I became a Sylvester and we started our family! I am now 27, Madison is now 18 months and Cailin (pronounced Kay-leen) is now 7 months. We have 2 dogs(both chihuahua-dachshund), Jeeves and Deuce. We stay pretty busy but we have an amazing family! 

Next to my family, my passion in life is food. Cooking delicious food! I love cooking for all occasions, and whether it is a small get together or a large one, I take every opportunity I can to cook. Meal time is such an important part of everyone's life. We eat to celebrate life-births, birthdays, death, marriages, graduations, religious occassions/events, holidays, we go on dinner dates, and so on. If you look back at some of your favorite family and friend memories, many of them (at least for me and my family!) revolve around food; we were breaking bread and sharing stories and jokes. Food not only nourishes our bodies but it brings us together to nourish our relationships and our hearts.
