BG - I agree with you, and took the opportunity to illustrate a point. Somehow educators are held up to a higher standard in all things when in reality they are specialized in specific things, and Omnipotence isn't one of them.
Anthony - I disagree with you, but follow me on why. What other "views" do you fell compelled to tell us that we need to leave at the front door? We are no longer told that we must "tolerate" the things that we disagree with, but are told that we need to ACCEPT AND EMBRACE those things regardless if we agree with them or not, yet if I utter an opinion that may have roots in religion, I am told "NO, NO, NO, Mr. Romer. This entire fiasco is a non issue. Our children are not learning because schools are not educating. They are too busy promoting this "TOLERANCE" garbage instead of teaching reading, writing, etc... One public educator has been quoted as saying that the "Mission of the Public Schools is <-- Note gramatical error) not to not tolerate intolerance" yet you can see even by comments here that if one does not pull the Gay Agenda cart, somehow THAT view isn't "tolerated" by the tolerance crowd. HYPOCRITES!
Mrs Knox - Do yourself a favor and sue the school district for sexual harassment. If they (the government aka schools) posted a bulletin board with gay things that "offended" you personally, that is a paramount offense in NJ. You "believed" that it sexually harassed you, and it is YOUR BELIEF that counts in court, not another Liberal "good intention" that as usual had unintended consequences and failed.
These are the twists and turns that you "Tolerance" people have brought upon us. Tolerence simply means that YOU do not have ANY PRINCIPLES!

ReplyAnyone who denies the holocaust has no clue to reality. Dwight Eisenhower know that people would deny what happened, and made it a point to parade the German people through the concentration camps to witness what was done in their name, and to have them serve as historical witnesses to the truth.
This politician may be running as a Republican but as a Republican, if I were voting, it wouldn't be for him.

ReplyDoes anyone else find it strange that the same people who "blamed Bush for 'allowing' 9/11 to happen" are the same ones belly aching about the surveillance being conducted? Unfortunately, and right or wrong, the "terrorist" element in the Muslim community hides in plain sight, and uses Mosques usually without the Mosque knowing it is being used.
NYPD can do this because of something called "mutual aid." It's Intelligence Division has contacts in the FBI, and if they did uncover something, the local police would be informed and asked to take the appropriate action. While this may be hurtful or insulting for the Muslim Community, they need to recognize that it is meant to keep them safe as well. Would you prefer to be known as the place that a plot was thwarted, or the place that inspired the plot?

Reading the thread, I have noticed that "diets" are being debated here and okay, I'll get involved because I am a "problem solving" type of individual. If anyone has questions as to what type of diets are best and how your eating lifestyle affects your health, you should consider looking at these two individuals.
Do a Google (or your favorite search engine) Image Search for the two listed below for comparison purposes.
Gillian MacKeith
- a 51 year old TV health guru who advocates a holistic approach to nutrition and health, promoting exercise, and a vegetarian diet high in organic fruits and vegetables. She recommends dextox diets, colon irrigation and use of supplements.
Nigella Lawson
- a 51 year old TV chef who drinks, smokes, eats meat, butter and desserts which are considered "unhealthy."

Sunny Forrest... You appear to be a very angry and petty individual, and one would be correct in calling a TROLL. You have nothing positive to contribute as evidenced by your comments and rather enjoy attacking people hiding there in your underwear on your dad's basement computer. You also gave an incorrect name for my dog which is an obvious sigh of early dementia, so have that checked out.
Anyway, just so you know, (and everyone else, close your eyes), I have to say "broomstick" here because if I said "Pistola" and one of those coyotes showed up dead with pistola wounds, I could possibly be considered a potential witness to the carnage. I don't know. Can you make a coyote fur coat for the wife, or do you need three of four of them? They are afterall almost 3 feet high and about five feet long. If if you drive through the Becker Farm Office Complex in Roseland, you can have a field day and save a lot of money oh highly priced gifts, all while helping both towns out. Livingston in 2003 issued a statement indicating that "coyotes would not be tolerated" and I just want to warn my neighbors of the hazzard, but I'm wondering if the town was serious.
Back to the pistola,don't worry about me missing either. Let's just say that the last time I target shot, in a circle the size of a quarter for a bullseye, 9 out of the 10 rounds touched each other. The tenth round was off by 1.5 MM and the photo is somewhere on my social networking page.

ReplyLet's stay simple in the following example.
If our Federal Budget was a household budget, it would look like this...
(For the actual Federal numbers -- Just add eight "zeros" to the figures listed below.)
In other words, the taxes collected are actually $2,170,000,000,000
Annual Family Income............................... $21,700
Money the family spent...............................$38,200
The NEW DEBT on the credit card...............$16,500
Outstanding balance on that card....... .......$142,710
The "Budget Cut" you're excited about..........$385
How does the government spend the money. Mind picture. 3 squares, 1 foot X 1 foot each.
Social Security and Medicare/Medicaid are fixed expenditures and take up 2 full squares.
Military and "Agency" expenditures take up about half a square.
Discretionary expenditures takes up a whole square which means we must borrow half a square.
NOW - Add ObamaCare to that mix and between Social Security, Medicare/Medicaid and ObamaCare, all 3 squares will be fixed expenditures (which by law MUST be paid) and a whole additional square will NEED TO BE BORROWED to pay for Military, Agency and Discretionary expenditures EVREY YEAR!!!
If the 'rich' have every last penny taken from them to pay taxes, it will fund the government for 18 days! And that can only happen once. Next MONTH they will have nothing to tax. Think about it!

Religion in America has been a positive influence. Our nation was founded on the basis of religion which is a fact. Some disagree with that and push the big lie of separation that has repeated so often that many people today believe is true. In your own post I perceive intolerance of people with religious views. How is that any different than Mrs Knox's views? Should you not post here, and now that you have, should I find out who you work for and demand your dismissal? Is that where our society is heading? Why is she a "second class citizen?"
Please. Leave the tolerance teaching to the parents, churches, temples, and mosques. The mission of the public schools is to teach reading, writing and arithmetic -- Not to provide political and social indoctrination. Having said that, if the bulletin board offended Mrs. Knox, what is to prevent her from making the workplace sexual harassment claim? Is one can sue because of a joke told down the hall which is overheard, why not when someone puts it right in your face? The point is that we as a society have been pummeled to accept certain things, and this case is not going to be easy to unravel because each "right" tramples over another. Whose rights are greater? The gay community, or the sexually harassed, religious black woman?
