why would the mayor offer jane quinlan 1,000 if he didn't feel guilty about hoarding all the contributions? I dont' know a lot baout politics but I do konw that when you're in a party all members are equal.

It sure seems like an attack to me because this has nothing to do with the Village of Oak Lawn at all. but that's neither here nor there. I just wonder if the rumors are true that you will run for mayor (which is great because no one should ever go uncontested) how you will ever get cooperation from the trustees? If mayor you'll have to work with streit. and carol quinlan. and many others who are allies of the mayors friends. If I were you I wouldn't use the Patch as a sounding board because you'll make more enemies than friends. Just saying. Good luck though!

OakLawnGuy I'm glad you won't defend the mayors actions as hes an attorney and the only person in the unity party that was elected to anything previously, the rest were never politicians before. But Dr. Bury, tell us, if you're elected mayor and you are on here attacking Trustee Streit how are you helping it stop?

Dave W: "Why is it the law, but the law is essentially winked at?" That's up to a Judge to decide. "Why do drunk drivers get more than one chance, with that first one meaning you immediately go on the puff and start thing?" Again, it's based on law. And people make mistakes. Some are innocent while others are not." Why shouldn't police worry about seatbelts? Beacuse children drive in cars and need to be restrained. Many are not and beleive it or not all of our premiums go up each time people make claims on large accidents and medical bills due to people flying out of windshields. You must not know any police officers on a personal level. If you did you'd have a much different realistic perspective. Beleive me, police officers WANT to get the people that are hurting others. How would they be able to know who the good minded people are during a routine traffic stop? I imagine you think you're a good-minded person and youv'e gotten slaps on the wrist for minor speeding or a seat belt violation. get over it Dave.
