"Artsy Good Showcase," sponsored by AARP, At the Children's Museum in Oak Lawn

Oak
Lawn (September 12, 2013):  Over the
summer, several young artists participated in the Artsy Good program at the
museum and they will be showing off their work at our first late night of the
year! We'll also have some special art going on that night for everyone to
participate in.

“What
we’ve done,” said Adam Woodworth, the museum’s Executive Director, “is to
create an experience for children on what it might be like to be a professional
artist.  Children who participated in the
program got the opportunity to have their works displayed on-line.  People make a donation to the museum and when
they do, they get a picture of the artwork as outlined by the program.  The program concludes with the Artsy Good
Showcase where the children get to display their work for the public.”
