St. Laurence Student Accepted into Mentoring Program

Christopher Thomas, a St. Laurence High School student, was accepted into the Kappa Leadership Institute, a mentoring program that prepares students for college and their careers.

Christopher Thomas '15, a St. Laurence High School student, was recently accepted into the Kappa Leadership Institute, a mentoring program that prepares students for college and their careers. Thomas had to complete a long and rigorous application process, including essays and interviews, in order to be accepted into the program.  Now that he has been accepted, he said he is very excited for the program to begin.  Thomas will be joining other students from Chicago, Indiana, and southern Wisconsin at the Leadership Institute, where they will receive academic training including ACT and SAT preparation classes, training to develop writing skills, academic tutoring, and college application preparation.  This training will help students like Thomas become stronger academically, as well as prepare them for college and beyond.
