AFFILIATED ONCOLOGISTS WELCOME MEDICAL ONCOLOGISTS AMBER SEBA, M.D. AND RONALD MYINT, M.D.

OAK LAWN, IL – In its continued efforts to provide local residents access to highly trained cancer specialists, Affiliated Oncologists, LLC recently announced that Amber Seba, M.D. and Ronald Myint, M.D. have joined its team of medical oncology experts.

Dr. Seba, board-certified in internal medicine, is a hematologist and oncologist specializing in the treatment of leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, benign hematologic disorders and breast cancer. She has offices located at Affiliated Oncologists in Oak Lawn and at Southland Oncology in Mokena. Dr. Seba has staff privileges at Advocate Christ Medical Center and has applied for staff privileges at Advocate South Suburban Hospital, Little Company of Mary, Palos Community Hospital, and Silver Cross Hospital.

Prior to joining Affiliated Oncologists, Dr. Seba served as Chief Fellow of Hematology and Oncology at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is active in basic and clinical research for leukemia. Dr. Seba has also contributed to research in the fields of lymphoma, lung cancer and multiple myeloma, and has co-authored numerous clinical studies. She is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and American Society of Hematology.

Dr. Seba earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Kansas City, MO. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, and Hematology and Oncology Subspecialty Residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Dr. Myint, board-certified in internal medicine, is a hematologist and oncologist who specializes in the treatment of melanoma, sarcoma, and brain tumors. He is currently practicing at Affiliated Oncologists’ office locations in Burbank and Oak Lawn. Dr. Myint has staff privileges at Advocate Christ Medical Center and has applied for staff privileges at Advocate South Suburban Hospital, Little Company of Mary, Palos Community Hospital, and Silver Cross Hospital.

Prior to joining Affiliated Oncologists, Dr. Myint served as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Rush University School of Medicine after residency and was recognized as “Intern of the Year” by Rush University Medical Center in 2007. He was also active in clinical research of lung cancer, head and neck cancer, and multiple myeloma. Dr. Myint has co-authored numerous clinical studies and a chapter on "Personalized Therapy in Head and Neck Cancer," in the book Principles of Molecular Diagnostics and Personalized Cancer which was published by Wolters Kluwer Health/Lippincott Williams & Wilkins in January 2013. Dr. Myint is a member of the American Society of Oncology and American Society of Hematology.

Dr. Myint graduated from Boston University's Accelerated Seven-Year Bachelor of Arts and Doctor of Medicine Program. He completed an Internal Medicine Residency at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago and a Hematology and Oncology Fellowship at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX.
