The session is conducted in Kaufmann Hall, the small brick building in front of the main church building.
The Orientation focuses on the history of PADS, organizational structure, how to interact with individuals that are homeless, shelter operations, as well as other volunteer opportunities.
PADS needs volunteers for a variety of purposes, however, the greatest need is for the middle of the night and early AM hours at the shelters. We know you will be tired the next day — that is why we ask for a commitment of only one shift a month.
Do you know where you will sleep tonight?
As little as four hours of your time once a month can help homeless individuals have the same sense of security?
