Beverly Mom, Daughter Take 'Choose Kind' Message to Australia

Kerry Lynch and 2-year-old Mary Cate were recently interviewed on a TV show Down Under to discuss the girl's rare syndrome and talk about accepting differences.

Kerry Lynch and her 2-year-old daughter, Mary Cate, are spreading their "Choose Kind" campaign around the world.

The Beverly mother and daughter recently appeared on the Today TV show in Melbourne, Australia, to talk about Alpert Syndrome, the rare disorder Mary Cate suffers from that causes abnormal growth in her head and extremities, as well as continuing to pass along the message that being different is OK.

Mary Cate has four fingers on each hand, her speech is a bit delayed, and she faces at least 60 corrective surgeries in her future. But she and her mother have been visiting schools around the Chicago area to show other kids not to be afraid of people's differences.
