Saint Xavier University To Host Job Fair and Workshops

hopes to give hopeful job hunters a Valentine when it hosts its 14th annual Chicago Campus Job Fair on Feb. 14 at the Shannon Center.

The fair is free and open to the public. Attendees are invited to network with invited employers. The job fair starts at 3 p.m.

Employers scheduled to attend the fair include Angels at Home Healthcare, Fastenal Co., Franciscan Outreach, Franciscan St. James Health, Grand Prairie Services, Imagetec LP, Ingalls Memorial Hospital, Jewel-Osco, Mercy Home for Boys and Girls, Mercy Volunteer Corps, , Palos Community Hospital, Speedway LLC, , TCF Bank, United States Secret Service, U.S. Army Health Care Recruiting, and Waddell and Reed, Inc.

In addition to the job fair, SXU Counseling and Career Service will host three “How to Work a Job Fair” workshops. Job seekers will learn networking skills, interview techniques, and how to make a great first impression at the job fair.

The workshops are scheduled for 3 p.m. Feb. 9, noon Feb. 10 and 3 p.m. Feb. 13. All three workshops will be held in the Career Services Modular Unit behind Pacelli Hall on SXU's Chicago campus.
