Rain Doesn't Stop Santa On the Green
Santa visits Oak Lawn, brings early Christmas spirit at annual family holiday celebration.
Oak Lawn’s Santa On the Green was more like “Soggy On the Green,” but that didn’t stop hundreds from attending the annual community celebration marking the official start of the holiday season in Oak Lawn.
Saturday’s celebration did not disappoint. The line to visit Santa stretched from the gazebo to the heated hospitality tent, where most visitors had taken refuge from the elements.
Retired Oak Lawn police officer Dennis Kitching mysteriously disappeared for yet another year when Santa arrived.
