Help Transform OLHMS Gymnasium and Change a Life…

You can feed 16 children, here in our own community, for the price of a latte…but we need your help. Can we count on you?

Feed6 is a respected charity reaching out to the hungry and homeless.  They are now partnering to package millions of nutritious meals for hungry children and their families in collaboration with Outreach.

On Saturday, November 2nd, Oak Lawn Hometown Middle School will be hosting a day of community service. The charities Feed6 and Outreach will come together to transform our gymnasium into a meal packaging production center.

Volunteers will come together to package nutritional meals in plastic packages.  Each plastic package can feed 6 children.  These meals are then distributed locally through food banks to the hungry here in our own communities.

Students that are interested in participating in this volunteer opportunity are asked to raise a minimum donation of $25 and turn it into their advisory teacher to secure a spot.  Once the money is turned in, students will be assigned a 10am-12pm or 1pm-3pm time slot.  Family members and community members are encouraged to join the students of OLHMS for this event.

If you are interested in volunteering or donating, please contact Mrs. Heather McCarthy athmccarthy@d123.org.
