Community Corner

Pink Heals Tour and Health Fair

Advocate
Christ Medical Center is on a mission to support the fight against all women’s
cancers, and they are inviting the community to join them on Thursday, Aug. 6
from 3 p.m. – 7 p.m. for an informational health fair as the national
organization, Pink Heals, stops by
the medical center for a visit.

The Pink
Heals Tour is an organization that travels nationwide, driving its pink fire
trucks and police vehicles to area fire stations to honor all women battling
all types of cancers and to promote awareness of different diseases.

Community
members are invited to attend the event
where they can sign the pink trucks and leave a message of hope for cancer
patients and/or survivors. The Pink Heals Tour and Health Fair will offer
participants the chance to listen to educational lectures on topics like breast
health or colon cancer, or they can take part in different activities
throughout the day like yoga, zumba, chair massages and more free fun! Parents
are encouraged to bring children with them, as the fair includes kid friendly
fitness and nutrition activities.
