Pack the House for Special Olympics Basketball This Saturday

Watch the Oak Lawn Junior Jordans, Eagles and Pep Squad take the court at Mother McAuley High School this Saturday.

Pack the house this Saturday (Jan. 18) for the fifth annual Special Olympics Basketball Day at Mother McAuley High School, 3737 W. 99th St., in Chicago.

Over 70 athletes and cheerleaders from Chicago’s South Side and south suburbs are participating. Fans will experience the living embodiment of sportsmanship, camaraderie, basketball and cheerleading on the South Side of Chicago.

Proceeds raised at this event will help support the Oak Lawn Special Olympics programs.

New this year is the “Pack the House Partnership,” that’s open to any sports program (travel teams, school, park district, softball team, etc.). Cash prizes of $3,000, $1,500 and $500 will be awarded to the sports program with the HIGHEST ATTENDANCE. Enter to win by emailing olspobb@gmail.com.

Lots of other surprises are in store. Come cheer for these amazing athletes and cheerleaders. You will leave with a smile on your face.

Admission is free. Doors open at 1 p.m., games start at 2 p.m.
