VOTING

Its a shame when being in politics you have to play the game.  But this is what I observed when driving the Mayor around during the campaign. 

We'd go to a street and only 4 voters were listed, I was shocked, not really, but it upset me to no end.  I'll bet you that the people that don't vote are the ones who complain the most.  I want to see voter registration, this is so important.  I voted every election since I was 18, long time ago, we had to write our vote on stones.  Its our responsibility to keep our politicians in line.  When they do good tell them, if we keep doing this maybe they'll get the idea.  Their people like us, they have families, they live here, their part of the community.  I really believe here in the village we have good people, BUT ITS OUR RESPONSIBILITY AS RESIDENTS TO KEEP THEM IN LINE.  Get involved, help out, don't complain.  Running Oak Lawn is hard work, the Trustees need help. 

Just remember, we're Oak Lawn, not Illinois, lets do whats right.  Attend Board Meetings, they're interesting.   Change starts with you, remember that.  

Maybe if we thank the Board every now and then we can turn this around.  I want change do you???????

Remember I said I don't trust a 500 lb politician as far as I can throw them.
