'Call Girl' Robs Napping Italian Businessmen at Hilton

Wallet turns up missing after woman said she had wrong room and left, cops say.

A woman barged into the hotel room of two Italian businessmen claiming they had “called her” and may have stolen a wallet off their dresser, reports said.

The men had returned to their room at the Hilton Oak Lawn at 9333 S. Cicero Ave. around 5:20 p.m. August 20. Both lay down after work to take a nap when they heard a knock on the door.

The man told the woman to leave and woke up his coworker for assistance. Police said the woman pushed herself further into the room by the dresser. Both men told her to leave.

The woman checked her phone and said, “Sorry, I got the wrong room.” After she left, the man said he heard her knock on another door and then a door opening and closing.

When the coworker checked the dresser, he noticed that his wallet was missing. A hotel employee at the front desk told police that both rooms on either side of the men’s room were vacant. The door directly across from their room led to a stairwell.

The co-worker thought the woman might have been a male dressed as a female. Both men did not get a good look at the robber because it happened so fast.
