Father and Son Arrested After Behaving Badly at Car Dealership

arrested a father and son after they caused a disturbance centering around a knife at a local car dealership, according to police.

Jesse R. Ramos, 63, of Chicago was charged with aggravated assault; his son, Jesse G. Ramos, 39, also of Chicago, was charged with battery.

Police responded to a report of customer with a knife at Webb Chevrolet at 9440 S. Cicero Ave. at 12:37 p.m. Dec. 8. When they arrived, other police officers had the Ramoses’ car stopped in the parking lot. Officers said the driver (the report didn’t identify who was driving the car) appeared to be trying to do something with the console inside their car.

Employees identified the men as those who caused a disturbance inside the car dealership, the report said.

A car salesman told police that he was walking through the showroom when noticed a disturbance between two customers and another salesman.

Police said the father and son were upset and yelling loudly inside the showroom because the salesman wasn’t paging a third salesman fast enough.

The younger Ramos bumped an employee with his chest and yelled at him. The disturbance moved into the lobby area of the dealership where the older Ramos pulled out a silver knife and pointed it at the employee, police said.

Police said they found a pocketknife along with another knife in the center console inside the Ramos’s car.

Both men were arrested and charged. They have an upcoming court appearance in Bridgeview on Dec. 29.
