Gal Walks Into a Bar, Punches Guy in the Head

A 45-year-old man claims a woman and her boyfriend punched him in the head for no apparent reason at an Oak Lawn lounge.

A 45-year-old man said a woman and her boyfriend punched him for no apparent reason at Krauss Gaslite Lounge in Oak Lawn.

According to police reports, the man was watching the end of the White Sox game around 10:30 p.m. on Aug. 3 at the lounge, 5130 W. 95th St., when a female patron walked by him to use the restroom.

After the woman came out of the restroom, she asked the man if he had a problem, according to the police report. The man said she punched him in the head and walked back to another table to sit with her boyfriend.

Police said the man continued to watch the game, and about 10 minutes later, the female patron’s boyfriend approached him and punched him several times in the head and face.

An off-duty Chicago police officer and bar patron stepped in and pulled the boyfriend off the man, reports said.

The Chicago cop told the bartender to kick the couple out of the bar or he would call the police. The victim said he wanted to file a complaint. Police are investigating.

The report said the female patron and her boyfriend are regulars at the lounge. Both are described as being in their 30s.
