Hooters Manager Says Four Adults Dined and Dashed

Oak Lawn police charge two men and two women with theft of service.

stopped a car occupied by four adults who reportedly ran out on their $50.18 bill at Hooters on Sept. 5.

Jarrell A. Densmore, 27, Romell Funches, 28, and Seretas Sanderson, 27, all of Chicago, and Tamekkia L. Moore, 32, of South Holland, were charged with theft of service.

The manager of the Hooters restaurant at 9159 S. Cicero Ave. in Oak Lawn told police that the foursome came into the restaurant around 6:45 p.m. and ordered wings and drinks. One of the women told the manager that their waitress forgot to bring dipping sauces for their wings, according to the police report. About 15 minutes later, the four ran out of the restaurant without paying their bill, the report said.

Police said the manager ran out the back door and was able to get a description of the car. While the manager was speaking with a 911 dispatcher, police stopped the car at 87th and Richmond, the report said.

Officers said the four people admitted to being at Hooters. The manager positively identified them and signed complaints for theft of service.

Police said Funches had an active warrant out of DuPage County for failure to appear in court. All four are scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 18 in Bridgeview.
