Oak Lawn police were dispatched to a laundry establishment in the 9700 block of South Cicero Avenue around 8:50 a.m. Feb. 1.

According to the report, a man identified as Kevin J. Foster, 48, of Chicago, left the Laundromat in a brown Buick after he punched the alleged victim, leaving his female companion behind.

Police spotted Foster parking his car at a nearby restaurant. Foster, who police said had a bleeding finger, admitted he was coming from the Laundromat and allegedly hitting the man when he verbally threatened him.

Back at the Laundromat, officers talked to the man whose face was bleeding. The man said he was folding his laundry when Brown’s female companion began arguing over the way Brown did laundry, police said.

The two began arguing and exchanged profanities, reports said. The man told Brown to step away from him, when Brown allegedly punched him on the side of his face.

Police said Foster left the Laundromat and got into his car. The man began walking toward the back door to get Foster's license plate number, reports said.

At this point, officers said Foster's’s female friend stood between the man and the door and blocked his path to the parking lot. The man acknowledged to police that he and Foster exchanged profanities, police said.

The woman told police that she heard both men arguing but did not see the punch, reports said.

Police brought the man to the restaurant where he positively identified Foster as the man who allegedly punched him.

Brown was taken to the Oak Lawn police station where he was charged with misdemeanor battery. He is to appear in court at the Bridgeview Courthouse on March 18.

Re:Phinnigin. I agree!! Most establishments do not have hot water in the restrooms!!! However, whyRead More can't restaurants install hand sanitizer behind the counter? The Popeye's in Burbank has a hand sanitizer installed behind the counter, but honestly, the employees hardly ever use it, which is why, after a horrible experience at that location last July, I have not patronized ANY Popeye's since!!!
