POLICE BLOTTER: Businesses Tagged, Retail Theft Leads To Arrest On Warrant

Police discovered tagging on Joan’s Place at 6950 W. 95th St. while on patrol around 3:57 a.m. Other businesses that got tagged were Chipolte, 6220 W. 95th St.; Jason’s Deli, 6260 W. 95th St.; and Petco, 6220 W. 95th St. The businesses were sprayed with pink paint with some variation of “SIK+DTC” and a 6-pointed asterisk.

Retail Theft

A woman walked around Marshall’s at 9601 S. Cicero Ave. for a couple of hours before leaving the store with a purse full of stolen merchandise, reports said. Store security had Sandra Robles, 35, of the 5900 block of South Kildaire Ave., in custody when police arrived around 6:37 p.m. Robles was charged with retail theft. According to police, she was observed walked around the store and then heading to the back where she allegedly put merchandise into her purse. She was issued a village citation for retail theft and has a hearing at village hall on June 5.

Man Fingered for Shoplifting Arrested on Warrant

Police were called to Thornton’s at 9138 S. Cicero Ave. when an employee spotted a man who had allegedly shoplifted from the mini-mart a few days around 7 p.m. The employee met police officers in the parking lot and pointed out Hosam Jadrawi, 38, of Oak Lawn, inside the mini-mart. She pointed out Jadrawi to police who was walking down the street after leaving the store. Jadrawi told police he did not recall the theft, reports said. Police ran his name through the database, which revealed Jadrawi to have an active warrant for violation of parole for shoplifting issued by the Illinois Department of Corrections on May 8. Jadrawi was taken to the Oak Lawn police station where IDOC said they would pick him up the next morning, police said.
