Driver Education Parent Seminar

Richards High School will host a seminar on Tuesday, January 17 for parents of students enrolled in driver education courses second semester.

Driver education teachers will host the seminar at 7 p.m. in the theater.  Richards is located at 10601 S. Central Avenue in Oak Lawn.

More than just a summary of curriculum, the seminar will emphasize the vital role parents play in educating their teenagers on safe driving habits.

The State of Illinois requires students to spend 50 hours driving with an adult – teachers account for some of this time, but parents provide the majority – before obtaining a license.

An Oak Lawn police officer also will attend the seminar to answer any questions about rules of the road.
