Students Walk To Beat Cancer

Oak Lawn Community High School students walk to raise money for the American Cancer Society during the 9th annual Relay for Life

Big-hearted  Oak Lawn Community High School students joined together to walk in the ninth annual on May 14. More than 500 students pitched tents and camped out in the cold rain, while trudging the track for 12 straight hours. Student relay teams were required to have at least one team member on the track all night. The students raised over $45,000 for the American Cancer Society. In the nine years of Relay, the school has raised $550,000.
