Richards' LeBeau Honored as Athlete of Week

The week for Richards softball pitcher Brianna LeBeau couldn’t have been much better: undefeated, no earned runs and a grand slam.

Now, she can cap it off as Patch’s Athlete of the Week.

LeBeau is 4-0 on the season for the Bulldogs, who are 6-0. She pitched in wins over T.F. North, Lemont and most notably, Oak Forest, last week. In Richards’ 15-0 win over T.F. North on Saturday, she did not give up any runs in three innings pitched and hit a grand slam.

Against Oak Forest on Tuesday, she pitched eight innings and scored the winning run in a 1-0 game. Against Lemont, she went nine innings and did not allow an earned run as Richards won 4-2.

LeBeau, a junior, has verbally committed to play at Northwestern.
