Lemont, cold weather silence Oak Lawn in recent boys tennis matchup.

Facing unseasonably cold weather and a shortage of players, Oak Lawn fell to Lemont5-0 in a recent boys tennis matchup.

All the matches were contested using an eight-game pro set rather than the more typical best-of-three-sets format.

Oak Lawn's No. 1 singles player Anderson Judeh lost a tough match 9-7 after leading early on. Steve Mullen lost dropped another close decision, falling 8-5 in No. 2 singles.

But the best match of the afternoon was saved for last. In No. 2 doubles, Ahrell Caa and Kevin Scardina broke Lemont's serve to pull even at 8-8. The two teams played a normal tiebreaker to decide the match, but the Spartans fell 7-1 in the tiebreaker.
