FBI Joins Manhunt for Missing Groom in Burbank Bride Slaying

Cell phone records for Arnoldo Jiminez, charged in the murder of his 26-year-old wife, last place him in Hidalgo, TX, near the Mexican border. Burbank Police seek public's help in locating him.

The FBI has joined an international manhunt for a missing bridegroom after his new wife was found slain in their Burbank apartment hours after they were married last weekend. A federal warrant charging Arnoldo Jiminez, 30, with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution was issued Thursday in U.S. District Court in Chicago. Jiminez was charged earlier this week in Cook County Criminal Court with one count of first- degree murder for the stabbing death of his 26-year-old wife, Estrella Carrera. POLICE: Craigslist Buyer Steals iPhone From Seller

An Oak Lawn man is charged with theft after police surround his apartment building, reports say.

Oak Lawn police surrounded an apartment building and arrested a man on charges that he stole an iPhone he saw advertised in Craigslist. Police charged Timothy Quattrochi, 26, of the 10400 block of South Mason Avenue, with theft on May 4. According to reports, a woman looking to sell her iPhone on Craigslist for $380 made arrangements by text to meet Quattrochi at his residence around 3 p.m. Police said he came out of his house and asked the woman some questions about the phone through her front passenger window, where she sat in her car. As he was handling the phone, Quattrochi told the women “he’d be right back” and then ran away with the phone, reports said. Evergreen Park Police Help Nab Man At-Large

Evergreen Park Police assisted Chicago Police in searching for a subject in Wrightwood neighborhood.

Evergreen Park Police helped Chicago Police nab a wounded gunman in a nearby Chicago neighborhood on Wednesday evening. At about 10 p.m., Chicago Police responded to a disturbance on the 3100 block of West 84th Place. While attempting to talk to the man, police said he pointed a gun at a police officer, Chicago Police News Affairs said in a press statement. The officer fired his weapon at the man, wounding him. The man fled on foot, and Evergreen Park Police assisted in the search. Although the man continued to run, police found him in a yard about a block away from the shooting in the Wrightwood neighborhood. Chicago Police confirm that a subject is in custody.

Update: The Chicago Tribune is reporting that a man pointed a gun at Chicago police officers shortly after 10 p.m. Wednesday. Police officers fired at the man on the 3100 block of West 84th Place in the Wrightwood neighborhood, but no one is struck. Residents said they heard gunshots on the block, a reader said. A gun was found in a yard a block from the shooting. The man was at large but is reported to have been arrested. Police scanner chatter said the man was arrested. POLICE: Pajama-Clad Woman Heists Car From Webb Chevy

Police believe male accomplice may possibly have followed stolen Suburban in "chase car," reports said.

A black woman wearing multi-colored pajama bottoms walked on to a car dealership lot and heisted a 2011 gold Chevy Suburban on May 11, reports said. Oak Lawn police were called to Webb Chevrolet at 9440 S. Cicero Ave. around 8:16 a.m. While en route, police were advised that a Chevy Suburban with no plates was heading westbound down 95th Street driven by a black woman, and that a second vehicle, possibly a chase car, may also be involved. County Shuts Down Swingers Club in Home Owned by Former Mokena Businessman

Will County has squashed a swingers club based out of a Beecher home owned by Mark Ferrari, former owner of now-defunct Mokena sports bar and restaurant The Colosseum, Chicago Tribune reports.

A swingers club operating out of the foreclosed home of a former Mokena business owner is no more, the Chicago Tribune reports. Police reportedly found a "dungeon room," sex swings and a mini-orgy room in "Club Erotica," inside the Beecher home owned by Mark Ferrari, once-owner of now-defunct The Colosseum in Mokena. Club Erotica, with the motto "If it feels good, do it," held themed sex parties with food and musical laser-light shows for about six months in the rural, cabin-style home, which was filled with taxidermied animals, records show.  Authorities shut down the club due to lack of proper permits, according to the report. 95th Street Re-Opening After Gas Leak--UPDATED

Gas leak at 6700 W. 95th Street shuts down street between Ridgeland and Oak Park Avenue.

UPDATE: 95th Street has completely reopened and is back to normal. Nicor capped the leak around 10:50 a.m. There were no injuries. A gas leak has been reported at 6700 W. 95th Street, where the Little Company of Mary Hospital outpatient clinic is currently under construction. Police and fire are on the scene. As of 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, the street has re-opened one lane each way and should be back to normal shortly, according to the Oak Lawn Emergency Management Agency Facebook page. Taking Metra? You May Want To Ditch the Latte

Metra riders are prohibited from bringing coffee and face other restrictions on what they can carry on trains during the NATO summit. Breast milk, however, is okay.

As Chicago gears up for the North Atlantic Treaty Organization summit at McCormick Place, Metra has stepped up security throughout its rail system, including the Southwest and Rock Island lines. From May 19 through May 21, riders will face security screenings and restrictions on what they can carry on to trains while global leaders are in town for the NATO summit, Metra announced Monday. You may also want to ditch the latte. Riders will be prohibited from carrying food or beverages on the train, including coffee. However, breast milk can be carried on a train but is subject to inspection and should be declared if you’re being screened. 95th Street Businesses Prepare for NATO

As Chicago gears up for the North Atlantic Treaty Organization summit May 19 through May 21 and mass demonstrations, the Oak Lawn Police Department is enacting its own “prepare for the worst but hope for the best” plan. Police Chief Bill Villanova has already placed parking restrictions at the Oak Lawn Metra Parking Garage at 95th Street and Museum Drive. POLICE BLOTTER: Gift Shop Theft, Meter Reader Threatened

TUESDAY MAY 8 A 61-year-old woman with no prior arrests was charged with retail theft after she allegedly took a purse from Lori’s Gifts at Advocate Christ Medical Center. Police were called to the medical center on May 8 after an employee told the gift shop manager that she had witnessed a customer removing a tan purse from a table and walking out the door without paying for it. The woman returned to the shop around 11:40 a.m. carrying the purse, reports said. Because she had no prior criminal history, police ticketed Barbara J. Klocek, 61, of Chicago, with a village citation for retail theft. Police said she had no problem turning the purse over to the manager.
