About Glen

My name is Glen Kato.  I was born at Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn a few decades ago.  I am a product of an Oak Lawn public elementary school district and an area Catholic high school.  My first job was at an Oak Lawn pizza place that closed a few years ago.  That was my initial glimpse into small business and of course the art of making a stuffed pizza.

Like many generation X’rs, I have had more than one career.  I have a degree in Journalism from Columbia College Chicago.  I worked as a Journalist for a few years and then moved on to some corporate jobs.  Those jobs had me living in a number of suburbs and Chicago neighborhoods.  This allowed me to get a nice taste of the cultures of many different Chicago communities.

In the early 2000’s I moved back to Oak Lawn.  I finished up a Master’s Degree in business.  I got involved in the Oak Lawn Chamber of Commerce.  In 2009, I served as the president of the Chamber of Commerce.  I was represented in the Chamber through my web design and marketing business.

I have met many people in Oak Lawn.  Even though I consider myself a citizen of the world, Oak Lawn is still very much at the core of who I am.

Hi Glen,

I am working on a feature film that is helping a great cause as well as offering people the opportunity to get involved
with the film. I think this would be a great story to write about and tell people. I just wanted to pass this along. …Or If it’s not too much trouble, pledge on something (they are offering great things!) and if you can also please pass this along to your friends.

If I can help you out with anything or the production can help you with anything, please don’t hesitate to ask.

Here is the link for the film:
